In this exciting role you will be part of an innovative Sales team, where a mix of internal knowledge and new external eyes comes together to deliver on business needs. Kanthal, part of Alleima Group, is a world‑leading brand in industrial heating technology and resistance material. We develop innovative solutions through creative partnerships with our customers, with a strong commitment to reducing the environmental impact. With skilled people and pioneering technology, we support some of the world’s most exciting and biggest projects. This is a remote position that can be based in the Western area of the United States.
Core Responsibilities
Create the sales region's business plan and execute activities to reach targets.
Accountable for reaching the sales region’s short‑term (18‑month rolling) sales and business development targets, including price management.
Manage and develop the territory, targeting companies and engaging technical decision makers for sales and opportunity development.
Drive business intelligence activities including competitor activities, pricing, market trends, and industry segment behavior.
Manage and develop independent sales reps within the sales territory to optimize sales.
Effectively follow up on leads and turn them into buying customers.
Qualifications & Experience For this role, we are looking for someone with more than 6 years of successful history in a high‑value sales management environment, preferably in the US market. Strategic thinking, a hunter’s mentality, strong decision‑making skills, customer focus, collaboration, solid leadership, creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and self‑motivation are required. Business English communication skills and strong technical aptitude are essential.
Technical Skills
Quota attainment, forecasting, business and financial acumen
Relationship building
Engineering, technical sales, OEM sales, client management
Contract negotiation, metrics driven, computer skills, Microsoft Dynamics
Preferred Background An Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering background and/or experience with industrial heating, electrification, or the semiconductor industries would be an asset. A driver’s license is necessary for this position.
Travel & Remote Working You will be travelling 50% mostly in the Mid‑West Region of the US. This is a primarily remote position but you can be professionally located anywhere in the region.
