ABcom, a leader in mission critical infrastructure design and build, is seeking Account Executives to focus on new business development. In this position, you are responsible for marketing and sales of consulting, engineering design, and supplying products and labor to build cabling, security, and wireless infrastructure for new and existing clients.
Purpose of this position: To increase ABcom's market share and customer base, establishing ourselves as the ‘go-to’ provider of mission critical infrastructure for data centers, manufacturing, education, distribution, healthcare, and clients requiring 24/7 reliability across the United States. To achieve profitable sales exceeding your annual quota from new and existing clients.
Scope of the position: This position reports to the Director of Sales or Vice President of Operations.
Major Responsibilities:
Develop new and existing accounts through prospecting, networking, solution selling, and closing.
Achieve a dominant market share in your designated area, consistently exceeding revenue and gross margin quotas.
Establish and maintain customer and vendor relationships.
Create business plans to meet sales and margin targets, including prospecting, strategy, forecasting, and pipeline management.
Prepare and deliver proposal presentations and respond to RFPs, addressing key business issues and solutions.
Engage with solution partners, consultants, and professionals to maximize revenue and generate new business.
Utilize web 2.0 tools, social media, and collaborative applications for communication and networking.
Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and professional societies.
Specific Responsibilities:
Maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new opportunities through networking and marketing.
Lead resources from engineering and project management to meet client needs and ensure profitable sales.
Provide exceptional customer service to foster ongoing and repeat business.
Expand ABcom's client base and geographic reach across the nation.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Matrixed Relationships: Collaborate with engineering on design and bids, coordinate with project managers, and ensure effective communication and delivery.
Requirements: Knowledge and Skills (Minimum requirements): Proven successful sales experience in technology fields such as computers, software, broadband, mobility, wireless, infrastructure, telecommunications, and data centers. Ability to network, build client base, and succeed in solution selling.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Knowledge: Business acumen, proficiency in MS Office, and experience in networking and client development.
Experience: At least 2 years in selling voice, data, wireless, or infrastructure products/services, with a track record of lead generation and closing deals.
Skills: Proposal writing, presentation, prospecting, and team work.
Additional Information:
Work environment emphasizes teamwork, with offices in MN, Seattle, and Phoenix.
Work conditions involve office and client site locations, with physical and mental requirements including travel and site surveys.
