Overview Selling Paychex’s retirement plan and flexible spending account products to decision makers and end users across the prospect universe, driving new sales, increasing revenue, and expanding market share.

Responsibilities

Present Paychex retirement plan and flexible spending account solutions to final decision makers and end users through in‑person or virtual meetings, leveraging the Go‑to‑Market Sales Strategy.

Schedule appointments and visit potential and current referral sources, especially the financial advisor channel and registered investment advisor community to secure referrals to end users.

Prospect using the telephone, direct mail, seminars, current client visits, or other local marketing programs directed by Sales Management to seek new clients and referral sources.

Analyze prospects’ needs and interests, determining appropriate products, and refer to the appropriate party when necessary.

Expedite the resolution of client problems or complaints to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Complete and submit accurate new business paperwork and expense reports on agreed dates set by Sales Management to ensure timely processing; enter prospects, sales, and client notes into Salesforce.com to ensure seamless selling and service.

Project a positive image representing Paychex, upholding the company’s reputation in the community.

Achieve and continually develop technical, competitive, and sales skills knowledge to excel in lead generation, presentations, and closing; successfully complete SAFE examinations to remain current on product knowledge; participate in training sessions and self‑study modules to become a Senior Retirement Plan Sales Representative.

May be required to travel outside the geographical territory for conferences, training sessions, and/or area regional or national meetings.

Qualifications

High School Diploma – Required

Less than 1 year of experience in Paychex‑relevant experience, with successful completion of required training programs and/or certification by senior sales management.

2 years of experience in relevant sales or sales management.

Compensation Base pay plus commissions, ranging from $55,000 to $115,000, adjusted for geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total compensation may fall outside this range based on location and other factors.
