Regional Sales Manager
Momentum is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to drive the growth and expansion of our business services and product offerings. The successful candidate will focus on selling Momentum Hosted VoIP, high‑capacity data, and video solutions to mid‑size and large businesses through our Sales Model. This role involves closing qualified opportunities from multiple lead sources, building and managing a territory, and maintaining strong relationships with Telecom Consultants, Master Agents, VARs, IT vendors, and system integrators.
Summary As a Regional Sales Manager, you will:
Create and deliver face‑to‑face sales presentations that showcase Momentum’s solutions and services.
Promote bundled products to ensure optimal customer solutions.
Target and exceed departmental financial and unit goals.
Stay abreast of competitive landscape and emerging technologies to position Momentum’s services effectively.
Develop sales territory, account plans, and maintain qualified partners and local business partnerships.
Generate new leads through cold calling, canvassing, referrals, and partner relationships.
Maintain customer relationships to drive retention and ensure operational efficiencies meet or exceed expectations.
Maintain accurate sales records and prepare activity reports as required.
Utilize Salesforce proficiently within three months of hire.
Provide accurate budget forecasting for sales quotas regularly.
Demonstrate strong partner relationship skills and ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
Education & Experience
B.A. or B.S. in Business, Sales, Marketing, or equivalent work experience.
Five or more years of business‑to‑business outside sales experience.
Preferred experience in telecommunications sales.
Experience in Internet Technologies, VoIP, and data networking (LAN, MAN, WAN, VPN).
Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery concepts.
Self‑starter with excellent time management and sales skills.
Strong verbal and written communication; persuasive presentation abilities.
Results‑driven with a focus on goal achievement.
Strong customer service orientation and follow‑up skills.
Technical aptitude and knowledge of computers and the Internet.
Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Excel/Word.
Other
60%+ time out of the office meeting clients; must have a car and a valid driver’s license.
Willingness to travel routinely by car, airplane, or other transport.
Availability to work overtime as required.
