Region Sales Manager – Surgical (Carolinas)

Location:

Must reside in one of the following cities: Atlanta, Charlotte, Knoxville, Savannah, Charleston or Raleigh.

Reports To:

Director, Area Sales.

Travel:

Up to 50% (including overnight travel).

Position Summary The Region Sales Manager (RSM) – Surgical is responsible for leading sales efforts and achieving revenue targets across surgical specialties (Laparoscopy, Gastroenterology, Arthroscopy, CV/Thoracoscopy) and project business (Video Imaging and OR1 Integration) in the Carolinas region. The RSM will specifically support Atlanta, Charlotte, Knoxville, Savannah, Charleston, and Raleigh. The hired candidate will be required to live in Atlanta, Charlotte or Charleston area, preferred. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, customer relationship management, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development

Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing regional sales team.

Recruit and retain top sales talent; address performance and HR issues as needed.

Sales Strategy & Execution

Develop and execute annual sales plans and forecasts.

Drive market share growth across all product lines.

Leverage product differentiators to influence purchasing decisions.

Customer & Market Engagement

Build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and healthcare stakeholders.

Serve as key account manager for strategic customers.

Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and post‑sale support.

Market Intelligence

Monitor competitive activity and provide feedback to internal teams.

Recommend new product opportunities or enhancements.

Administrative & Compliance

Manage regional budget and sales sample inventory.

Ensure compliance with company policies and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.

Minimum 5 years of management experience, including 2+ years in medical device sales (surgical preferred).

Proven ability to lead and motivate sales teams.

Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills.

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and travel up to 50%.

Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug screening.
