Systems in Motion is seeking a results‑driven Aftermarket Services Senior Account Executive to lead the growth of service and upgrade project sales within the automated material handling industry. This nationwide role focuses on identifying new opportunities, developing tailored aftermarket solutions, and driving long‑term customer value through lifecycle support.
The representative will be responsible for generating new sales for our Aftermarket Services group (AMS), including Planned Maintenance Service contracts, Support contracts, and Modifications/Upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain an annual sales plan; present and manage progress with AMS leadership.
Identify and pursue aftermarket opportunities including upgrades, retrofits, modernization, and service contracts.
Build strong relationships with customers to understand operational challenges and propose value‑added solutions.
Collaborate with engineering, project management, and service teams to scope, price, and deliver proposals.
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract close.
Track and report sales pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics using CRM tools.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
Prospect and qualify leads, focusing on businesses with existing conveyor and material handling systems.
Customize planned maintenance proposals to improve customer profitability, productivity, uptime, and safety.
Develop proposals with clear technical and functional descriptions and a strong focus on customer experience.
Follow up on proposals, negotiate terms, and identify risks with mitigation strategies.
Coordinate contract handoff with service support teams.
Deliver client presentations articulating the value of service offerings.
Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
Conduct site visits and remote meetings as needed (up to 50% travel).
Perform periodic check‑ins with existing maintenance agreement customers.
Experience
5+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in industrial automation, material handling, or aftermarket services.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex systems.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Experience in material handling service support preferred.
