ArcelorMittal is the world’s largest steel producer and is building an advanced non‑grain‑oriented electrical steel facility in Alabama. We are looking for an Account Manager to drive sales and customer relationships across North America.

Responsibilities
Support the Sales and Marketing organization to identify and target strategic customers in the automotive and non‑automotive markets.
Assist internal teams and customers with product launch, new business development activities, commercial qualification, and trials.
Develop, action and manage Account Plans that align with company direction and sales objectives.
Track performance against sales objectives, identify corrective actions, and support continuous improvement.
Build and maintain customer relationships through regular visits, service delivery, and contract management.
Monitor customer satisfaction using delivery, quality, and feedback metrics.
Determine price offers for customers with a strategic mindset.
Negotiate day‑to‑day customer‐related issues and influence the customer through the process.
Collaborate with commercial, technical, and manufacturing experts to achieve profitability, volume, pricing, quality, and delivery goals.
Review and manage customer KPIs, scorecards, and metrics.
Provide monthly reports and assist customer service, R&D, and technical staff as needed.
Offer team backup support and participate in projects and special assignments.
Support inventory management, payment performance, and invoice collections.
Respond to customer service requests such as product inquiries, delivery status, and quotations.
Act as the product expert and communicate customer needs and performance internally.
Contribute to annual business planning, forecast updates, and active sales call planning with CRM.
Perform market analysis to understand industry economics and provide insights to customers.
Monitor market information daily, weekly, and monthly for trend analysis and forecasting.

What you will need
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
Up to 30‑40% travel across North America.
Sales and account management expertise.
Knowledge and experience with electrical steels.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Preferred Requirements
Steel sales experience.
Product launch and new business development experience.
Knowledge of the automotive market.
Technical aptitude; engineering background a plus.
Advanced skills in spreadsheets, pivot tables, MS Teams, and other Office tools.
Experience with CRM, Power BI, IBP Forecast, and other sales tools.
