Job Title: Salon Business Consultant Great opportunity! Salon Business Consultant is a sales solution specialist role, covering and growing a territory in and around Atlantic City, Egg Harbor, Manhawkin, Ocean City, and the New Jersey (NJ) beaches.

Ideal candidate would reside in or very near the following cities :

Atlantic City, Egg Harbor NJ

Uncapped Commission , vehicle reimbursement plan and full benefits.

Essential Function Salon/Beauty Industry experience preferred.

The

Salon Business Consultant

is responsible for an assigned territory of customers. The main focus is to help grow salon sales, meet and achieve assigned sales goals using manufacturer education and sales resources, opening new accounts, selling approved beauty products, introducing new concepts, and actively using social media to serve salons, barbers, spas, schools, and licensed beauty professionals.

Primary Duties

Grow the Business:

Identify key accounts, establish efficient routes, and develop existing customers while seeking new partnerships.

Assist customers in planning, implementing, and tracking in‑salon promotions and programs.

Determine customer needs and offer appropriate products and services.

Collaborate with vendors to achieve corporate sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Respond to email, text, and phone communication within 24 hours.

Analyze accounts to decide on brand support, education, and promotions needed.

Call on customers in person to execute sales goals.

Comply with return processing procedures and complete required documentation.

Work with other business functions (customer service, accounts receivable, IT, etc.) as needed.

Prospect new customers through cold calling, social media, and other digital outlets.

Manage administrative tasks, including order entry and maintenance of customer information in Salesforce.com.

Use social media for communication, promotion, education, and product knowledge to attract and retain clientele.

Conduct effective in‑person and virtual product knowledge classes.

Communicate with management regarding calls, visits, orders, sales progress, and assistance required.

Grow Team and Culture:

Serve as subject‑matter expert on digital platforms & social media, sharing knowledge with peers.

Attend all meetings, functions, and events as scheduled.

Participate in shows, booth setup, dismantling, and back‑stock handling.

Support new initiatives with a growth mindset and positive change management.

Grow Yourself:

Demonstrate a desire to learn and grow, striving for continuous improvement.

Attend business development days (BDD) for product knowledge and vendor relationships.

Allocate time for learning with available tools and resources.

Remain agile to market changes and build industry knowledge.

Actively increase product, industry, and market knowledge.

Create an organized workflow to efficiently serve customers.

Experience And Skills Required

High school diploma or equivalent certification.

Minimum of 1 year of outside sales or beauty industry experience with consultative selling emphasis.

Must live within the assigned territory.

Working knowledge of inventory control systems and visual merchandising preferred.

Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media platforms for building pipelines.

Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Salesforce.com, Outlook, PDF Expert, and Oracle; experience with iPad a plus.

Ability to build an online community and create social connections.

Requires local travel, attendance at shows, conventions, and educational events (may include overnight travel). Frequent and sometimes prolonged driving periods necessary.

Committed to scheduled hours with flexibility for additional hours based on business needs.

Strong time management and organization; ability to manage multiple projects.

Professional business image and positive public interaction.

Clear and effective communication, oral and written, at all levels.
