Job Summary:

The Business Development Representative plays a key role in driving growth within the commercial roofing industry by managing existing client relationships and identifying new sales opportunities. This position requires a self‑motivated and results‑driven professional with a proven track record in sales, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a client‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update lead pipelines with current client and bid information to ensure accurate records and support strategic follow‑up.

Cultivate and strengthen client relationships through phone, email, and in‑person interactions to drive engagement and retention.

Promote and follow up on tailored proposals and bids to secure new projects and enhance long‑term partnerships.

Leverage sales analytics to inform and refine outreach strategies, targeting high‑potential opportunities.

Conduct ongoing research into market conditions, competitor activity, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities.

Collaborate with team members to develop and execute business development strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Partner with internal departments and external stakeholders to prepare compelling, customized proposals and bid packages.

Qualifications – Required

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sales role.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a client‑focused approach.

Strong collaboration abilities and interpersonal effectiveness across teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Qualifications – Preferred

Experience using CRM platforms.

Background in commercial roofing, construction, or related industries.
