Who You Are: We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Account Executive to join our Sales team as we continue to expand in the cybersecurity space. Remote work is possible, but candidates must be located in the Tri‑State Area (New York City, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut) and ideally within an hour from New York City. This role focuses on driving revenue through new customer acquisition and expanding existing accounts across our portfolio of managed detection and response services, professional services, and risk & compliance solutions.
What You Will Be Doing:
Serve as the client and prospect contact as a cybersecurity advisor for areas such as endpoint, network, security operations, vulnerability management, SIEM, incident response, security assessments and testing, threat intelligence, and more.
Drive new business sales while managing your sales process from prospecting to close.
Regularly meet or exceed your quota while maintaining accurate and timely customer, pipeline, and forecast data.
Manage and build Reseller and Partner relationships to drive business.
Deliver dynamic and engaging presentations and product demonstrations via MS Teams and in person.
Execute the full sales process by building pipeline, identifying and qualifying opportunities within your territory, and negotiating pricing and contractual terms to close sales.
Ensure excellent service and support to prospects and customers by creating long‑term business relationships.
Build, maintain, and develop knowledge to become an expert on Critical Start’s solutions.
Travel as required to support marketing activities, events, and customer meetings around the state(s).
Utilize Salesforce to track all relevant information related to the opportunity and account, and effectively manage your territory.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of related sales experience.
Cybersecurity sales experience.
Experience achieving quota attainment in a remote sales position.
Demonstrated ability to close complex deals involving multiple executive‑level stakeholders and enterprise sales cycles.
Successful record of prospecting, engaging, penetrating organizations at multiple levels, and acquiring major/enterprise‑level customers.
Prior work experience with sales tools including Salesforce.com, MS Office Suite & Teams, OneDrive, and other CRM/Marketing applications.
Desired Qualifications:
Managed Service Sales experience a plus.
