Job Title: Commercial HVAC Replacement Sales Representative
Department: Commercial Service Department
Reports To: Commercial General Manager
General Purpose Of Job Sell, design, and coordinate commercial projects.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Provide design details (including installation layout and designs) for installation of items ordered by the customer.
Obtain signed contracts.
Order equipment and materials necessary to complete the customer’s order.
Arrange for all permits, sub‑contractors, and equipment rentals.
Produce project job package for supervisor, installers, and warehouse personnel.
Schedule project date with customer while communicating with the dispatcher.
Handle all financial aspects of sales including, down payments, final payments, rebates, incentives, financing, etc.
Secondary Duties And Responsibilities
Offer different options and solutions for customers that best suit their individual needs.
Prepare commission request sheets and review all jobs sold and billed for profit margins.
Ensure a high level of quality control.
Assist in the training of new sales personnel.
Participate in classes and training opportunities to stay current with new products and trends.
Obtain customers through referrals.
Contact slow-paying customers to collect money due to Newcomb and Company.
Prospect for new sales opportunities.
Physical Requirements & Job Environment All candidates for this position should be reasonably physically fit and capable of picking up an 80 lb. tool, piece of equipment or piece of material and moving it about either on a job site, at a vendor, our warehouse, etc. This may include frequent use of limbs and appendages such as climbing, lifting, reaching above shoulders, balancing, walking, stooping, and kneeling. All Salespersons typically load and unload materials for projects and move these materials into place at the project. This may involve movement carrying a load in tight and difficult situations and on uneven terrain. All candidates may be required to climb and work off ladders and aerial lifts as required to accomplish their work within buildings and on roofs. All candidates will be familiar with the safe operation and capable of using hammer type drills and similar tools. Environmental conditions may range from outdoors at all times of the year to indoors at normal office conditions to indoor utility plants.
Qualifications
10+ years of HVAC sales replacement experience.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
