Salon Business Consultant – Sally Beauty
We are seeking a dedicated Salon Business Consultant to manage and grow a territory across Brainerd, Alexandria, St. Cloud, Nisswa, Park Rapids, Sartell, Little Falls, Aitken, Minnesota. The candidate will reside within or near the territory locations.

Primary Duties:
Grow the Business:
Identify key accounts and design efficient routes for existing and new customers.
Assist customers with promotion, program, and concept development and monitoring.
Determine needs and offer suitable products and services.
Communicate sales initiatives with vendors to meet corporate goals.
Respond to email, text, and phone within 24 hours.
Analyze accounts for brand support, education, and promotional needs.
Call on customers in person to execute sales goals.
Process returns, pickup, and documentation per procedures.
Collaborate with business functions (customer service, accounts receivable, IT).
Prospect new customers via cold call, social media, and digital outlets.
Maintain administrative duties, daily order entry, and Salesforce data entry.
Utilize social media for client engagement, promotion, education, and product knowledge.
Provide product knowledge classes in person and virtually.
Communicate status and progress to the manager.
Grow Team and Culture:
Serve as subject matter expert on digital platforms & social media.
Attend meetings, functions, and events; maintain regular contact.
Participate in shows, handle displays, back stock, and other required physical activities.
Support new initiatives with a growth mindset and positive change management.
Grow Yourself:
Show desire for continuous learning and growth.
Attend business development days to increase product knowledge.
Allocate time for learning using available tools.
Stay agile to market changes.
Increase product, industry, and market knowledge.
Create organized workflow for efficient customer service.
Experience and Skills Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of outside sales or beauty industry experience with consultative selling.
Resident of the assigned territory.
Knowledge of inventory control systems and visual merchandising preferred.
Expertise with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and other platforms for pipeline building.
Computer skills, Salesforce.com, Outlook, PDF Expert, Oracle; experience with iPad is a plus.
Ability to build online community and social connections using search engines and internet tools.
Local travel within territory; attendance at shows, conventions, and educational events (overnight travel and weekends may occur).
Maintain alertness and safe driving practices.
Frequent driving necessary.
Commitment to scheduled hours and flexibility for additional hours per business needs.
Strong time management and organization skills; manage multiple projects.
Professional business image and positive public interaction.
Excellent oral and written communication at all levels.

The work environment involves everyday risks and discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, residences or commercial vehicles.
