The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for driving business growth through the acquisition of new clients, maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients, and ensuring efficient handling of all account activities. This role requires a balance of sales expertise, client relationship management, and operational oversight, with a focus on delivering tailored insurance solutions for both personal and commercial lines. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional with strong communication skills, in-depth insurance knowledge, and the ability to lead and mentor team members.

Business Development & Growth
New Business Handling: Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s client base and increase revenue.
Meet or exceed sales targets for both personal and commercial insurance products.
Develop and execute targeted sales campaigns to attract prospective clients.
Client Retention & Relationship Management
Create and implement retention strategies to maintain long-term client relationships.
Ensure ongoing satisfaction by providing proactive communication, policy reviews, and timely resolution of issues.
Build strong relationships with individual and business clients through trust, responsiveness, and personalized service.
Client & Policy Management
Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify appropriate insurance products and coverage levels.
Manage policy renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and claims support.
Provide guidance on policy options, coverage enhancements, and compliance requirements.
Operational & Administrative Oversight
Oversee billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely invoicing.
Assist clients with claims filing and follow-up to ensure efficient resolution.
Prepare and present detailed sales reports, performance metrics, and forecasts to senior management.
Work closely with internal teams, including underwriting, claims, and customer service, to ensure seamless client experiences.
Train, mentor, and oversee less experienced staff, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and best practices.
Foster a collaborative work environment that supports professional growth and exceptional client service.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience in personal and commercial insurance sales, account management, or related role.
Strong understanding of insurance products, policy structures, and industry regulations.
Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in insurance management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Leadership skills with experience in staff training and development.
Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial lines insurance.
Active Massachusetts Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain).
Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, including General Liability, Property, Workers’ Compensation, and Commercial Auto.
Proficiency with agency management systems and carrier portals.
Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship‑building skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
