Walker Methodist Westwood Ridge
seeks a Fitness Technician to implement exercise programs to facilitate strength, balance, and fitness for Fitness Center members. In addition to direct supervision of the Fitness Center, the Fitness Technician will be responsible for new member recruitment and the entire new member onboarding process, including initial sign-up, conducting fitness assessments, and orientation.
This is a full-time position, days, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or equivalent ACSM EP-C certification or obtained within 6 months of hire Current BLS certification Experience evaluating, designing, and implementing strength and conditioning programs for older adults Working knowledge of exercise contraindications and appropriate exercise techniques for common medical issues such as joint issues, cardiopulmonary disease, and metabolic disease Experience working in a healthcare environment Ability to organize workflow with timely follow-through Commitment to assisting seniors in developing to their fullest potential Ability to live Walker Methodist's Customer Service Principles Ability to embrace Walker Methodist's Mission: Life.
