Position Overview Moab Regional Hospital is seeking a

Staff Pharmacist

to join the team at our newly completed

Portal Pharmacy , a state‑of‑the‑art retail pharmacy serving the Moab community.

This role offers the opportunity to deliver excellent patient‑centered pharmacy care in one of Utah’s most scenic locations.

Schedule

Approximately

40 hours per week

with variable shifts

Must be available for required holiday coverage:

Thanksgiving:

11/26/2025 – 11/30/2025

New Year’s:

12/31/2025 – 1/2/2026

Pharmacy Hours of Operation

Monday–Saturday: 9:30 AM – 8:30 PM

Sunday: 2:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Key Responsibilities Pharmacy Operations

Oversee day‑to‑day retail pharmacy operations in compliance with all federal and state regulations

Manage and audit inventory to ensure availability, minimize waste, and optimize cost efficiency

Collaborate with suppliers and wholesalers for medication orders and transaction tracking

Maintain compliance with the

340B Drug Pricing Program

Accurately interpret, verify, and dispense prescriptions

Conduct medication reviews and interaction checks

Maintain accurate patient medication records and ensure confidentiality

Administer immunizations under approved protocols

Provide consultations and medication counseling to patients and families

Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication therapy management

Training & Education

Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and students

Stay current with hospital and licensure education requirements

Community Engagement

Represent the pharmacy in local health events and community outreach programs

Foster relationships with local providers and community stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications Required:

Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy

Current and unrestricted

Utah Pharmacist License (RPh)

Licensure to dispense controlled substances in Utah

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and compliance

Preferred:

3+ years of experience in a retail/community pharmacy setting

APhA Immunization Certification
