Schindler Elevator Sales Internship – Existing Installation (EI) Sales Account Manager Location: San Francisco, CA, United States We elevate quality of urban life by safely transporting people and goods in buildings and transportation hubs. This role focuses on cultivating relationships with customers to drive elevator and escalator services sales, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. What you will do

Customer Account Management: Build and manage relationships within a designated sales territory to secure and renew service agreements; handle inquiries and resolve issues with a focus on revenue generation; meet with clients to understand needs and develop solutions; oversee accounts receivable for your portfolio to ensure timely payments. Communication: Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and achievement of sales objectives. Collaboration: Work with Field Superintendent and technicians to drive lead generation and deliver a high-quality customer experience from initiation through delivery. Sales & Opportunity Identification: Identify and pursue opportunities, qualify customer needs, introduce new technology and services, and illustrate value to customers. Negotiation & Strategy: Negotiate contract terms favorable to the company; develop and implement sales strategies aligned with product strategies and market conditions. Documentation & Compliance: Prepare estimates and proposals; maintain accurate customer records; ensure compliance with policies and procedures. What you bring

Education: Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of B2B sales experience in elevator or related industry. Other requirements: Effective presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong communication, negotiation, objection handling and closing skills; ability to empathize, listen, and build customer relationships; excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving abilities; motivated, resilient, customer-focused mindset aligned with Schindler’s values. Technical: Experience with SAP; ability to handle a mix of office and fieldwork with travel flexibility; proven track record in sales and closing deals; ability to independently identify opportunities and introduce services/technology. Leadership: Ability to guide and support junior sales team members and collaborate with Field Superintendents and technicians. Functional/Technical Expertise
