Job Purpose Drive sales efforts for TITAN’s subsidiary companies (RAM Industries and Special Metals) with a primary focus on reactive metals and high-nickel alloy equipment used in the chemical processing industry
Responsibilities Reporting to the General Manager, the Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business and maintaining existing client relationships for RAM Industries (www.reactivealloy.com) and Special Metals (www.tantalumfabricators.com). This role will emphasize aftermarket service including equipment repair, replacement, and field welding capabilities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in chemical process equipment and a deep understanding of the challenges facing the industry in handling corrosive media.
Build and maintain strong relationships with maintenance decision-makers at chemical plants, refineries, platforms, and EPCs throughout the Texas Gulf Coast and broader US
Develop and execute sales strategies for aftermarket repairs, field welding services, field installations, and new build opportunities
Identify and pursue opportunities for the replacement of corroded or end-of-life equipment, including pressure vessels, piping, and heat exchangers
Follow plant shut down schedules and coordinate with customers to provide fast turn around replacement parts/services
Promote RAM’s on-site welding and fabrication capabilities for reactive and high-nickel alloys (Tantalum, Zirconium, Hastelloy®, etc)
Utilize customer engineering drawings to support build-to-specification projects
Generate Requests for Quotes (RFQs), lead proposal development, and manage internal coordination for quote responses
Conduct site visits, walk‑downs, and customer meetings to assess needs and present solutions
Attend and participate in industry events, trade shows, and customer training sessions
Prepare sales forecasts, maintain CRM records, and report market trends and competitor activity
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of technical on‑site sales or business development experience in the chemical process equipment, oil & gas, or industrial services industry
Deep knowledge of the Texas Gulf Coast chemical, oil & gas markets and associated facilities
Strong understanding of reactive metals and corrosion-resistant alloys
Experience selling static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping) and related repair/replacement services
Familiarity with plant maintenance and turnaround cycles is a plus
Strong mechanical aptitude; able to interpret customer specifications and engineering drawings
Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship‑building skills
Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, ACT) and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to travel throughout the region and occasionally across the US
Compensation Annual base salary DOE, plus goal/performance‑based bonus
