Our focus on the state and local tax (SALT) practice means you will support hedge fund, private equity, banking, and real estate clients, gaining exposure to evolving state & local tax environments.
Key Responsibilities
Analyzing an evolving portfolio of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights.
Identifying potential opportunities and risks and communicating these to our clients.
Learning and researching current market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor.
Developing clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve clients’ tax activities.
Researching clients’ business operations and building long‑lasting relationships to tailor advice to specific needs.
Supervising a motivated team of professionals, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge and opportunities to reach their full potential.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
CPA, licensed Attorney or EA.
Minimum of 8 years professional knowledge in state and local Income/Franchise tax processes, concepts and tools.
Experience managing budgets, people and projects.
A proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization.
Technical writing and research experience in a tax context.
Ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects.
Strong influencing skills and confidence to question existing processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven record in a professional services environment or in‑house experience in a wealth and asset management company.
Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, One Source Tax Compliance Software, Corptax, and/or Premium Pro.
Experience coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.
Ability to adapt work style to work with internal and client team members.
What We Offer You
Comprehensive compensation and benefits package, with base salary ranging from $132,700 to $303,200 nationwide.
Specific ranges vary by location.
