What You’ll Do As Technology Designer II, you’ll assist Technology Consultants with project design and coordination while taking on early project management responsibilities—planning schedules and budgets, producing Revit/CAD documents, and helping deliver high-quality, code‑compliant systems.
Confirm project scope and requirements; communicate to the project team and stakeholders.
Plan and execute project management tasks: schedules, man-hour budgets, kickoffs, and coordination.
Assist with fee/contract negotiations, invoicing accuracy, and accounts receivable tracking.
Prepare and implement proactive QA/QC plans for projects; support design production in Revit/CAD.
Perform job site visits to assess field conditions and monitor progress against specs and codes.
Coordinate job closeout: documentation, lessons learned, and required filings.
Coordinate with other disciplines on equipment needs and technical information; read and interpret drawings and reports.
Attend owner/architect/client meetings and document issues; pursue internal/external training to expand technical expertise.
Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related degree AND three years of applicable experience OR six years of direct experience in the design, application, and/or administration of low voltage systems.
Preferred Qualifications Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and industry software (Revit/AutoCAD).
Knowledge of low voltage systems (nurse call, audiovisual, public address, security, telephony, etc.).
Understanding of project approach and system design; basic budgeting knowledge.
Strong interpersonal, written, presentation, organizational, and decision‑making skills; clear speech and attention to detail.
Ability to interpret blueprints/specs and coordinate with multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
