Job Responsibilities
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Assist with orientation and training on the job.
Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Make correct monetary change.
Perform motor coordination tasks rapidly and accurately.
Essential Functions and Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide quickly and accurately (calculator may be used).
Must be able to make correct monetary change.
Strong verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid and precise movements.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions
Varying and sometimes adverse outdoor weather when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures range from 36°F to 90°F+.
Sudden temperature changes in work area and outside.
Fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
Talking and hearing required on the telephone; near and mid‑range vision for most tasks; depth perception; ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Physical Requirements
Standing for most tasks; walking short distances for short durations.
Lifting: bulk deliveries of up to 50 lb and up to 3’x1.5’ dimensions; stacking onto shelves up to 72” high.
Carrying: large cans (3 lb 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lb), trays of pizza dough (12 lb each, up to 3 at a time).
Pushing: trays on dollies (24”–30”, 7.5 lb force needed).
Climbing stairs or ladder infrequently.
Stooping, bending, crouching, and squatting as required.
Reaching: above 72” occasionally, downwards for scooping cornmeal, forward for ingredients or phones.
Hand tasks requiring eye‑hand coordination, forearm and wrist strength, and frequent pinching.
Use of tools such as pencils, computers, telephones, calculators, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.
Requirements
