Service Estimator - Heavy Equipment Ring Power Cat

Location:

Tampa, FL

Salary Range:

$85,000.00 - $105,000.00 (various posted ranges available)

Primary Job Role

Conduct all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations.

Wear and enforce proper personal protective equipment.

Prepare estimates utilizing various dealer computer systems based on written and verbal requests, reviewing inspection information, service reports, historical records, specifications, in‑person machine inspections, and other related data.

Initiate requests for new or revised standard jobs to the standard job developer based on perceived need or requests from shop supervisors.

Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Maintain knowledge of service literature with high awareness of product upgrades and changes.

Assist in preparing projected expenses for various CSA‑type contract requests.

Train and/or mentor others in the department; assist in the training of standard jobs as requested.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

High School diploma or GED.

5‑6 years of relevant experience.

Required / Credentials

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with employees and customers.

Not Required but Highly Desired Criteria

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and dealer software programs such as DBS.

Updating of Knowledge

Job requirements change requiring re‑training every 1‑2 years.

Work Schedule:

Regular business hours with rare exceptions.

Environmental Conditions

Occasional – inside conditions, protection from weather but not necessarily temperature change.

Occasional – outside environmental conditions, no effective protection from weather.

Extreme cold: temperatures below 32°F for periods >1 hour.

Extreme heat: temperatures above 100°F for periods >1 hour.

Noise: sufficient to require shouting.

Vibration, Hazards, Atmospheric conditions, Oils, Air particulates/contaminants – all requiring appropriate protective measures.
