Private Client Services Tax Partner – Hybrid New York City Office
Compensation: $400k +
About the Opportunity Our client, a leading CPA firm, is seeking an experienced Tax Partner to join their Private Client Services team. This is a hybrid role based in the New York office, with the expectation of traveling to other firm offices across the Northeast region.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years serving as a Tax Partner at a mid market CPA firm and a strong track record in client service, business development, and team leadership. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and growing practice with a focus on high net-worth individuals, family offices, and closely-held businesses.
What You’ll Do
Lead partner-level compliance reviews and tax‑return signoffs
Provide expert client consultations on tax planning and regulatory changes
Drive new business development by preparing proposals and meeting prospective clients
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
Expand the range of services provided to clients
Oversee and supervise complex client engagements and special projects
Mentor, train, and evaluate senior tax staff to support their professional growth
Stay current with emerging tax laws, business trends, and industry developments
Collaborate with firm leadership on thought leadership and technology initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s degree preferred
CPA or JD credential required
At least 12 years of progressive tax experience in a mid‑market public accounting firm
Minimum of 2 years serving as a Partner at a CPA firm
Proven experience working with high net‑worth individuals, family offices, and closely-held businesses
Demonstrated success in acquiring new clients and growing a book of business
Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the Northeast region
