Tax Associate - Onsite
Join Intuit as a TurboTax Live Seasonal Local Service Associate, working on‑site at one of our new TurboTax locations across the United States on a seasonal basis. This role blends tax expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and community engagement to help customers navigate their tax needs and advance Intuit’s mission of Powering Prosperity Around the World.
About The Role In this position you will serve customers both in‑person and virtually using Intuit TurboTax products. You will provide full‑service tax return preparation, tax advice, calculations, and software/product support. Your ability to understand each client’s unique situation and connect personally will help alleviate tax‑related stress and build lasting relationships.
This is a non‑exempt, seasonal position that requires onsite presence at a TurboTax location in the United States.
What You’ll Do
Provide tax expertise and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex situations (personal and business income, deductions optimization, amendments). Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice.
Act as a proactive community ambassador, cultivating a robust customer base. Engage prospects, nurture leads, and convert them into long‑term clients through outreach and local events.
Represent TurboTax confidently in the community, host learning events, participate in marketing efforts, and make taxes accessible and approachable.
Build relationships by demonstrating empathy, understanding, and sensitivity to clients’ financial concerns.
Deliver a best‑in‑class customer experience, interacting with customers in‑person and via Intuit’s video tools, and addressing inquiries while helping them overcome tax challenges.

Who You Are
Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
Minimum of 2 years paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per season using professional software
Familiar with Circular 230
Willing and available to work a static weekly schedule of at least 24 hours per week at a TurboTax location
Interested in building a local and online presence; able to create tax‑related content within Intuit’s policies
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond filing

Compensation Competitive base pay ranges by location (e.g., Bay Area, California: $23.70–$28.00 per hour). Eligible for cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits. Compensation depends on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
