FSCA is currently hiring a

Billing Specialist II . As a Billing Specialist II, you will be accountable for creating invoices from repair orders, submitting them to customers for approval and/or payment with required documentation, and assisting technicians to create and submit estimates.

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, and repairs required. Enter ROs into the service database system.

Verify technicians have selected the correct VMRS code and that billing hours are in line with standard repair times.

Prepare actual invoices from created ROs by applying customer‑specific rates and mark‑ups.

Improve RO quality by identifying weak points, editing ROs to eliminate customer disputes, and ensuring invoices reflect full service amounts.

Reach out to technicians and Mobile Technician Leaders for required information to process invoices.

Create vehicle repair service estimates based on information from Mobile Technicians and Customers.

Communicate with customers via email, fax, or phone to retrieve purchase order approvals and discuss billing issues.

Gather necessary paperwork and upload it into the system for records.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field, or a combination of education and experience as specified (e.g., any degree beyond HS and up to 1 year of experience, or 5 years experience).

Proficient with Mitchell One or similar estimating systems.

Strong written, verbal, and phone communication and customer service skills.

Proficient computer skills (MS Office, email, typing, software navigation) for generating estimates and processing invoices.

A sense of urgency, action‑oriented with minimal planning.

Existing knowledge of standard repair times (SRT) for common services.

Experience in service writing preferred.

Works well independently and within a team environment.

Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.

Maintains a professional but friendly demeanor.

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Clear and effective communication.

Pays close attention to detail.

Remains calm and polite when dealing with frustrated customers and technicians.

Compensation Hourly base pay rate: $20.10 – $30.10 per hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on location and candidate qualifications. The position may be eligible for additional compensation such as commission and incentive programs.

Benefits Employees are eligible for a minimum of 6.67 hours of paid time off each month and seven paid holidays annually. Additional paid time off is available for bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer work, military leave, and parental leave.
