Shipping & Receiving Materials Specialist
Base pay range:
$21.00/hr - $21.00/hr
Own the movement of materials from dock to storage to outbound trailer with precision and safety.
Your Core Impact
Safety: Model safe behaviors in every action.
Inbound: Receive, verify, and store incoming inventory.
Outbound: Pick orders accurately and load trucks/trailers for shipment.
Movement: Use hand trucks, forklifts, cranes, and related equipment to relocate materials.
Yard: Operate Yard Dogs to spot and move trailers as needed.
Finishing & Assembly: Clean parts with hand/pedestal grinders and other metal finishing tools; assemble products or kits.
Quality: Deliver error‑free results for both internal teams and external customers.
Process: Work under direct supervision; follow established procedures and safety/quality standards.
Housekeeping: Keep work areas clean; perform other duties as assigned.
Must‑Have Capabilities
Attention to detail and basic problem‑solving.
Forklift and crane operation proficiency.
Comfort with hand tools: hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, drill, grinder, bander.
Accurate tape measure reading.
Knowledge of common practices and procedures; able to follow instructions and guidelines.
Nice to Have
Use of measuring instruments such as box calipers, slide dial calipers, and micrometers.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Environment & Physical Realities
Indoor/outdoor work with changing temperatures, loud noise, and vibration from equipment.
Hazards: Moving mechanical parts, electrical current, high heat, and exposure to chemicals.
Air quality: Possible fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, and areas with poor ventilation.
Oils: Potential air/skin exposure to oils and cutting fluids.
