The purpose is to verify property occupancy and report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application. Most inspections are exterior only; about 10% require interior photos post‑vacancy.
Responsibilities
Complete most common inspection in 5‑6 minutes.
Finish the inspection within 4 days of assignment.
Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in a mobile app.
Drive extended periods while making numerous stops in the assigned territory.
Requirements
Computer with internet connection.
Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage; you pay for your own gas).
Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
Printer.
Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license.
Pay and Hours This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate that varies by county and volume. Although paid per inspection, the equivalent earning is $30‑$40 per hour. Depending on county and urban/rural status, you may complete 20–500 inspections per month while working 2–30 hours per week. Lower volume counties offer higher rates and higher volume counties offer lower rates. There is no set minimum; work is consistent month‑to‑month. Earn more as you become established, have greater availability, or cover larger territories. No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
