Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required; strong time‑management and deadline‑meeting skills are essential. What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties. Contractors conduct inspections to verify property occupancy and report on general conditions using a mobile application. Most inspections are exterior only; approximately 10% require interior photos after a property becomes vacant. Responsibilities
Complete each inspection in 5‑6 minutes, typically exterior only. Submit reports within 4 days of assignment. Take 9+ photos of the property, with brief comments. Complete a short form in the mobile app. Spend extended periods driving across assigned territory, making numerous stops during the day. Requirements
Computer with internet connection. Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus; you pay your own gas). Smartphone (Android or iPhone). Printer. Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license. Pay and Hours
This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate that varies by county and volume. You will earn the equivalent of $30-$40 per hour. Depending on the county—urban or rural—you may complete anywhere from 20-500 inspections per month, working 2-30 hours per week. Lower‑volume counties have higher rates, whereas higher‑volume counties have lower rates. There is no set number of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month‑to‑month. Earn more as you become established, have greater availability, or cover a larger territory. No additional mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection. Apply HERE Only #J-18808-Ljbffr
