Rehabilitation Specialist – QMHP
Location: Integral Care – Austin, TX.
Job Summary Rehabilitation Specialists provide psychosocial rehabilitative skills training to individuals diagnosed with severe mental illnesses, who may also have co-occurring substance use disorders and/or chronic health conditions. The role utilizes a recovery‑based and trauma‑informed perspective, supports clients in community settings, and requires the use of a personal automobile and cell phone.
Key responsibilities include:
Work in partnership with racially and culturally diverse individuals to define and facilitate their desired life outcomes.
Participate in diagnostic evaluations and provide assessment of strengths, preferences, functional impairments, and symptoms of psychiatric and/or co‑occurring disorders at regular intervals to ensure optimal, personalized services.
Coordinate services with external and internal providers to support independent functioning.
Deliver therapeutic interventions that foster skills necessary to manage symptoms, obtain and maintain employment or housing, and access essential services (school, medical care, nutritional assistance, financial assistance, transportation, legal assistance).
Facilitate psychosocial rehabilitative skills training groups and utilize evidence‑based interventions or therapeutic modalities as needed.
Maintain trauma‑sensitive workplace practices and support a welcoming environment of care.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
License:
Current, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Experience:
Bilingual preferred; experience with clients with serious mental illness and co‑occurring disorders is an asset.
On‑call responsibilities may be required depending on unit protocols.
Full‑time position requiring regular, predictable attendance; flexible work schedule may be necessary.
Employment Details
Hours: Full‑time – Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Salary: $24.18–$25.39 per hour, based on education.
