A Travel Consultant must have a strong sales drive, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment, proficiency with computers and various programs, and strong written and oral communication skills. What does a AAA Travel Consultant do?
Sells international and domestic travel packages including cruises, land packages, itineraries, air, car, and hotel.
Shares knowledge and expertise from personal experiences or educational study trips.
Develops long‑standing relationships with members and builds referral and repeat business.
Recommends tailored options to exceed members’ expectations.
Cross‑seels relevant products (e.g., AAA Member Rewards Credit Card) and provides theft referral support.

Recognition programs and incentives (cash, trips, prizes).

Required / Preferred Skills
A high school diploma is required; a 2‑ or 4‑year college degree is preferred.

Qualifications and Availability
Travel is a passion, not merely a hobby.
Availability to work most Saturdays and some evenings.
Completion of the Travel Consultant Trainee program (requires some travel).
Sales‑driven mindset and goal‑exceeding motivation.
Computer savvy—ability to navigate multiple systems, web browsers, Microsoft Office, and a typing speed of at least 30 WPM.
Strong organizational skills and comfort with paperwork.
