Serves as project engineer with autonomy for project-related tasks and as a designated client contact. May have project management responsibilities on multiple projects, particularly those with high complexity and/or risk. Responsible for successful completion of projects, including schedule, budget, and profitability. Develops estimates, pricing, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects. Develops feasible engineering design alternatives to meet project requirements. Prepares or directs preparation of structural calculations, modeling, analysis, and design. Utilizes or oversees use of Revit and other structural-specific design and calculation software to create or assist in the creation of detailed designs for construction documents. Prepares or directs preparation of contract documents, including technical reports, studies, plan specifications, construction cost estimates, and permitting for projects. Selects and utilizes structural materials appropriate for the project based on coordination with architects, engineers, plans, specifications, and code requirements. Reviews construction shop drawings, responds to RFIs, performs site visits, and other Construction Administration activities. Performs building inspections and condition assessments. Participates in and ensures QC/QA procedures are followed. Maintains accurate design standards and procedures in assigned work. Directs and provides training, technical support, guidance, input, and mentoring to project teams. Cooperates and coordinates with other internal and external engineers, designers, and technicians on project activities. Responsible for work-in-process, ensures accurate client billing, and monitors outstanding accounts receivable and collection efforts on assigned projects. Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Eight or more years of progressive experience in structural engineering. Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Structural Engineer (S.E.) license (preferred) required. If not licensed in Oklahoma, Texas, and/or Arkansas, must be able to obtain licenses within six months of start date. Previous experience with designing and detailing structural systems for building-type structures with demonstrable familiarity the following Structural systems:

Reinforced Concrete Structural Steel

Concrete Masonry Units (CMU) Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to drive to meetings and project sites. English language skills: ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Mathematical skills: ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning skills: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Organizational skills: ability to prioritize and organize tasks; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Remote connectivity device (e.g., smart phone, tablet, etc.) with data plan sufficient for company requirements, including multi-factor authentication, time and mileage tracking, expense reimbursement, e-mail, and virtual communications. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a productive/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with the fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials. Ability to sit up to eight hours per day. Ability to stand and/or walk, including over uneven surfaces, for extended periods of time (field visits). Ability to manipulate computer mouse up to eight hours per day. Ability to see clearly 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more; ability to identify and distinguish colors; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office/production setting with adequate ventilation. Occasional exposure to dust, dirt, weather conditions (field visits). WORK SCHEDULE

Fixed schedule of 40 hours per week between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional extended hours required as projects dictate.
