Do you want to make a difference in the lives of individuals? TLC – The Treatment and Learning Centers in Rockville, MD is hiring an On‑Call Community Resource Advocate. This entry‑level role assists adults with disabilities in gaining independence. Responsibilities
Help clients learn basic life skills such as cooking, budgeting and household chores (e.g., creating cleaning charts, grocery shopping). Assist clients in accessing educational or recreational opportunities in the community (movies, museums, live shows, sporting events, karaoke, physical fitness). Connect clients to community resources such as medical, housing and transportation. Requirements
Associate’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation, Psychology, Special Education or a closely related field (direct work experience may be substituted). Experience working with individuals with neurological impairments and/or developmental disabilities. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Car ownership. Computer literacy. Highly organized with effective time‑management skills. Team player who supports team members. EOE. Benefits
403B Free parking Longevity Bonus Rate of pay is $18 – $19 per hour. Hours vary and may include evenings and weekends. A company car will be provided to all staff when supporting individuals.
