Job Summary
BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies. The position requires setting up, changeover, improving, and maintaining production equipment to meet quality and quantity standards. The candidate will train and develop operators, provide on‑floor leadership, and ensure compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures, and all applicable regulations.

Duties / Responsibilities
Perform changeovers and set up equipment correctly.
Maintain equipment in good repair to meet production and quality standards.
Generate accurate maintenance records and other required documentation.
Manage machine cleanliness and preventive maintenance.
Provide coverage for absent operators.
Assist operators during break times and facilitate smooth operations.
Lead cross‑functional teams on scheduling, process improvement, safety, and continuous improvement.
Operate safely, handle chemicals properly, and protect the safety of coworkers.
Comply with additional management requests.
Possibly work in a clean‑room environment and follow GMP rules.
Perform other duties as required to support business needs.
Education
High School diploma or GED required.
Associate’s degree preferred in a mechanical‑related field.
Experience
Mechanical skills, education, or background required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Mechanical proficiency – Proficient
Troubleshooting and problem‑solving – Proficient
Hand tools and gauges knowledge – Proficient
Independent thinking – Proficient
Teamwork – Proficient
Leadership skills – Proficient
May require respirator use and mandatory annual fit testing.
