Legal Billing Specialist
to join the team in
Syracuse, NY.
Who You Are You have 1–2 years of legal billing experience in a law firm or professional services environment
Familiarity with Aderant or Elite billing systems is preferred
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Customer service–oriented mindset with adaptability and a focus on process improvement
Collaborative and independent, with initiative and accountability
WhatYou’llDo Manage high-volume billing cycles effectively
Coordinate distribution of pre-bills and follow up with attorneys to ensure timely review and invoice generation
Prepare and edit client pre-bills with accuracy and attention to detail
Respond promptly to attorney and client billing requests in a professional manner
Review Work in Process (WIP) aging monthly and follow up to ensure timely billing
Maintain accuracy of the Client Management System, including names, addresses, and billing formats
Review unapplied and retainer accounts and ensure timely application to client accounts
What Success Looks Like Pre-bills and invoices are processed accurately and on time
Attorneys and clients receive responsive, professional support for billing inquiries
Client Management System remains current and error-free
WIP aging and unapplied accounts are consistently monitored and resolved promptly
You contribute ideas and improvements that enhance efficiency and billing processes
Salary Range:
$50,000 – 65,000 annually, based on experience
Location:
Syracuse, NY – Hybrid
