Insurance Agent (Base salary + Uncapped commissions)
Location: Waterboro, ME (also Dover, NH; Barrington, NH; Wells, ME). Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 per year.
Description We are looking for a Sales Agent to join our team in the South Portland office and surrounding locations. Success in this role will require a strong local network and in-person relationship building in the community. This is not a remote position.
Pay Details
Typical training salary: $55k – $65k
First‑year total compensation ranges from $55k – $75k through a combination of base, bonuses, and uncapped commissions
Potential for top performers to earn over $100k in the first year

Required Skills
Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills
Well‑developed persuasion and negotiation skills
Great interpersonal skills and proven ability to build relationships with prospective and existing customers
Effective time management and organizational skills
Ability to learn insurance coverage and underwriting guidelines
Familiarity with finding, building, and growing leads and customer base
Preferred Experience
Previous sales role where prospects were successfully turned into customers
State insurance license (or willingness to earn one) in Property & Casualty and Life
