Job Summary
As a Marine Systems Installer, you’ll install electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems that are essential to the safety, comfort, and reliability of every Hinckley yacht. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in marine systems, with the ability to troubleshoot issues with confidence. Responsibilities
Installation: install electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, including wiring, fixtures, engines, pumps, ventilation, and plumbing components. Ensure all installations are watertight.
Tools: read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Measure, cut, and strip wire; connect wiring to terminals using appropriate tools.
Test: test electrical systems for voltage, resistance, and phase angle using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and other equipment. Troubleshoot issues as needed.
Safety compliance: follow prescribed safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Other: assist in the installation of engine over mount rails. May install intake and discharge fittings to provide water for plumbing and engine cooling. All duties as assigned.
Requirements
Experience: minimum one year of relevant experience in marine systems installation or related trade.
Physical requirements: lift and carry over 25 lbs. up to 60 lbs.
Certifications: vocational technical school degree or certification (preferred). Must hold a valid driver's license.
Pre‑employment: all applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment.
Qualifications
Proficient in interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
Ability to install and test electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, and mechanical components.
Knowledge of marine safety standards with experience in watertight sealing, ventilation, and auxiliary systems.
