Job Summary 

The Medical Director provides clinical leadership and oversight for the skilled nursing facility, ensuring high-quality medical care, regulatory compliance, and adherence to best practices in geriatric and post-acute care. This role serves as a liaison between the facility, attending providers, and regulatory bodies, supporting optimal resident outcomes and quality improvement initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide medical leadership for all clinical programs within the facility.
• Review and approve clinical policies and procedures.
• Ensure appropriate medical care for residents, including oversight of attending physicians and midlevel providers.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, DOH, and other regulatory standards.
• Participate in surveys and audits; assist with corrective action plans.
• Lead quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
• Monitor clinical indicators such as infection rates, falls, pressure ulcers, and hospital readmissions.

Salary Range:  $80,000 - $90,000
