Job Title Accountant
Job Type Contract (Temporary with potential to convert to permanent)

Hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation $20-25/hr
Position Overview This Accountant position is open to support an upcoming maternity leave beginning in February. The assignment is expected to last approximately four months, including training, with potential opportunity to remain long-term as part of the Accounting team. The role is primarily transactional and aligns closely with a high-level Staff Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily cash activity and record journal entries
Perform bank reconciliations
Monitor departmental spending and financial activity
Process accounts payable invoices as needed
Support general accounting operations and ad hoc projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Experience in a transactional accounting or staff accountant role
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
ERP system experience preferred; Oracle Fusion is a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage routine accounting tasks efficiently
