Overview PennTAP is seeking a dynamic Small Business Outreach Representative to support the implementation of the RISE PA energy efficiency projects across Pennsylvania. The role focuses on engaging businesses, technology transfer, and program coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with potential and current clients to assess energy efficiency projects and support grant applications.

Provide technical consultation and maintain updated knowledge of program requirements and energy technologies.

Monitor project milestones and ensure clients stay on track with timelines and deliverables.

Conduct post-project evaluations, collect and analyze data, and communicate findings.

Develop outreach strategies to increase SME participation in RISE PA programs.

Build and maintain relationships with economic development partners, industry organizations, utilities, and other stakeholders.

Serve as liaison between PennTAP and external partners to facilitate collaboration.

Coordinate with internal teams (RISE PA Program Leadership, PennTAP Leadership, Regional Advisors).

Track and report program participation metrics and forecast progress toward strategic goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.

Experience with energy efficiency programs or related project management is preferred.

Will‑ingness to operate a motor vehicle; valid driver’s license and motor vehicle records check required.

Eligibility to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.

Location University Park or any Penn State campus in Western PA: Altoona, Dubois, Beaver, Erie, Fayette, Greater Allegheny, Mont Alto, New Kensington, Shenango.

Salary & Benefits Salary range $68,200.00 – $129,500.00. Full‑time benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and a 75% tuition discount for employees and eligible families.
