Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable
Floor Technician
to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of flooring surfaces in a pharmaceutical facility. This role is responsible for performing specialized floor care tasks including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning, while ensuring compliance with site safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform floor care duties such as stripping, waxing, and buffing hard surface floors
Carpet extraction and spot cleaning
Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming as needed
Operate and maintain floor care equipment (e.g., auto scrubbers, burnishers, extractors)
Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate PPE
Ensure proper signage is used during floor care activities to prevent slip hazards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of janitorial closets and equipment
Report any floor damage or maintenance issues to the supervisor
Assist with general cleaning tasks as needed in non-GMP areas
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum 1 year of experience in floor care or janitorial services using floor care machines
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
Familiarity with floor care equipment and cleaning chemicals
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
Must adhere to all site safety and security protocols
Work Environment
Work is performed in non-GMP areas of a pharmaceutical facility
May involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, noise, and moving equipment
PPE may be required depending on the task and area
