Responsibilities
As a Produce Clerk, you will: stock the Produce department and present product, facing, filling, and organizing all items according to our schematics; rotate, trim, water, and merchandise produce to maintain freshness and quality; ensure accurate tag and pricing; perform inventory control; and answer questions from customers in a friendly and helpful manner. You will work in a high‑pace, customer‑centric environment and support the team’s overall goals.
Team Members under the age of 18 will be restricted from the following tasks: Using a knife (other than safety cutters) Using a ladder Operating garbage or cardboard compactor Operating any motor/electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks) Working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods of time
Qualifications
Be at least 16 years of age. Be dependable with a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Show a mutual respect for others and maintain a high‑level code of ethics within Sprouts culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers. Have good communication skills; take direction and participate in a team environment. Be able to perform repetitive activities, multi‑task, prioritize, and stay organized. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb throughout the day and lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs. and a utility cart holding 20 lbs. for up to 2 hours. Be able to walk up to 5 miles during an 8‑hour shift. Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Pay range
The pay range for this position is $17.45 - $23.55 per hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications.
