Job Summary
Akkodis is seeking a Teradata DBA for a contract position in Atlanta, GA. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining Teradata databases across Development, Testing, and Production environments while ensuring optimal performance and security.
Rate Range:
$37/hour to $49/hour.

Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain Teradata databases across Development, Testing, and Production environments.
Monitor database performance and growth, applying tuning configurations and optimization techniques to ensure system efficiency.
Manage user access, roles, and database structures, including table creation, views, and security configurations.
Develop and maintain backup and recovery plans, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including SQL tuning, workload management (TASM), and performance bottlenecks.
Collaborate with development teams on database design, provide 24×7 on‑call support, and maintain documentation for compliance and governance.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in Teradata Database Administration.
Strong hands‑on experience with Teradata tools, utilities, and SQL tuning techniques.
Proficiency in UNIX scripting and workload management (TASM), with experience in performance optimization and reporting (Power BI).
