SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Collections Specialist is responsible for overseeing the collections of commercial, residential and consumer loans.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage the collection activities for commercial, consumer and residential loans by reviewing the past due report/contacting borrowers
Coordinate collections efforts with Commercial Loan Officers for commercial past due loans
Maintain accurate records of all collection efforts and customer contacts.
Adhere to regulatory and compliance guidelines associated with collections
Assist in audits for the commercial, residential and consumer areas associated with collections and other areas as needed
Monitor upcoming maturities and matured loans for payment processing
Respond to credit bureau disputes and update directly through e-Oscar or via the core system
Monitor daily maintenance reports from the core system for accuracy
Manage Bankruptcy tracking for consumer and commercial loans
Assist with customer inquiries as needed
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1-3 years’ experience in the lending area of a bank
Business Degree or related field preferred
Technical proficiency
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize workflow and succeed in a multitasking environment
Ability to work independently and within a team
The hourly rate range for the Collections Specialist position is $25 - $40 per hour
