Alliant Insurance is hiring a Business Development Associate (internally known as: Associate Marketing Consultant) for our Employee Benefits division with Transitions Benefit Group office!
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Build employer relationships, deliver presentations, and sell services that help businesses support employees through effective benefits solutions
In office: 290 E Main St, Canton, GA 30114, open to remote candidates with 2+ years of experience
Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST
Compensation is a combination of hourly rate + commission
SUMMARY Responsible for providing support services to promote the company's product portfolio.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Promotes the company’s product portfolio with specialization in product(s) assigned.
Makes outbound calls to recruit agents to set appointments for Marketing Consultants. Handles 100+ recruiting calls per day and 2 hours of talk time with agents and agencies.
Refers agents to Marketing Consultants based on additional informational needs, particularly for products outside the scope of the position.
Utilizes and updates Hubspot for recruiting calls and email sequencing.
Updates and maintains Contact Management System information in accordance with policies and procedures; updates and maintains task list.
Recruits agents to participate in special marketing opportunities.
Works collaboratively with fellow staff to advance the values and mission of the business by serving on relevant internal and external committees.
Assists with special projects/assignments as requested by members of management.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High School, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field.
Three (3) or more years of General insurance industry or related field experience (financial services, marketing, web-based business, business-to-business customer service or call center).
Valid Insurance License.
SKILLS
Working knowledge of insurance services industries and specific current knowledge of product lines assigned to the marketer.
Knowledge of the general industry procedures, practices and terminology.
Skill in working effectively with inbound and outbound callers/customers.
Skill in negotiating and problem solving to resolve internal and external conflicts.
Skill in the use of office equipment including computer, fax, printer, telephone system, etc.
Skill in using time management and organization skills.
Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with all customers, employees and the general public.
Skill in project management.
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, MS Outlook software preferred).
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, constructively.
Ability to approach and communicate with a wide range of personalities in a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain all company policies, including all confidentiality and safety policies.
Ability to work independently, exercise independent judgment, and make and execute decisions.
