Quality Inspector – Mag Particle Level II
Faxon Firearms is looking for a qualified professional to serve as a Quality Inspector with a focus on magnetic particle testing (MT). The candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications in manufacturing processes.
General Description This multifaceted role requires expertise in magnetic particle testing methods and the responsibilities of ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications within our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will conduct inspections using MT techniques and support overall quality control initiatives.
Responsibilities
Perform Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) inspections according to established procedures and standards.
Conduct thorough examinations of components, materials, and products to identify surface and near‑surface defects.
Interpret and evaluate inspection results, documenting findings accurately and generating detailed reports.
Utilize expertise in MT to detect discontinuities, cracks, and defects in ferrous materials.
Act as a Quality Inspector, ensuring compliance with quality standards, conducting visual inspections, and verifying specifications.
Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues, offer guidance on corrective actions, and support process improvements.1
Maintain accurate records of inspection activities, including training documentation and qualification records.
Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, calibration requirements, and calling for repairs.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
Achieve quality and organizational objectives by completing related results as needed.
Minimum Educational Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Previous Experience
1 year in a similar position.
