Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Legal Administrative Assistant – Real Estate to support our Real Estate, Construction & Development team. The position is full‑time and requires in‑person work at our Tampa, Florida office.
Required experience: at least five years in real‑estate legal administration, with a strong background in commercial real estate, construction & development, pre‑ and post‑closing, land use, and litigation. A high school diploma or higher is required.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, proofread and format documents requested by attorneys and/or paralegals.
Assist with legal research related to property records, zoning laws, land use regulations, and related matters.
Apply procedural guidelines for various jurisdictions.
Maintain and update client files, case documents, and transaction records.
Provide general administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, including answering phones, managing correspondence, and scheduling meetings.
Communicate professionally with clients and colleagues.
Handle confidential information with discretion.
Required Qualifications
At least five years of experience as a real‑estate legal administrative assistant.
High school diploma or higher.

Physical Requirements
Frequent sitting and standing, with static posture for up to 30 minutes at a time.
Bending and stooping occasionally, up to 30 minutes per day.
Lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to one hour per day.
