Chief Construction Inspector
Dewberry is seeking a Chief Construction Inspector to work on projects in the greater NYC metropolitan area.
Job Description The Chief Inspector will review job specifications, plans, field work methods, costs, and supervise inspectors on the job site to verify compliance with contract documents.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 10 years prior construction inspection experience on NYCDDC or NYSTA projects.
Must possess NICET II, III or IV Certification in Transportation/Highway and Bridge Construction or equivalent.
OSHA 10-hour certification.
DDC Water Main Training, NJSAT, ACI and Rutgers TCC certifications and knowledge of SiteManager are desirable.
Excellent communication skills; ability to read and interpret plans and specifications; ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations.
Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions; ability to stoop, bend, squat, lift 25 lbs and stand for long periods.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Salary Range Projected hourly rate: $53.00 to $85.00.
