Base Pay Range $23.00/hr - $25.00/hr

The Maintenance Specialist helps keep White River Toyota running smoothly by taking care of our buildings, shop, and grounds. This role handles a variety of maintenance tasks both inside and outside the facility, from general upkeep and small repairs to ensuring the property stays clean, safe, and in good shape for our team and customers. You’ll also keep an eye out for potential issues, help troubleshoot problems, and handle repairs or coordinate service when needed.

This is a Monday–Friday position, working 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute break. Mandatory overtime is required during the winter months for snow removal and plowing to keep the property safe and accessible.

Key Responsibilities

Perform basic duties in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, heating/ventilating, and roofing.

Outline and adhere to maintenance schedules for service equipment.

Monitor landscaping, office, janitorial, housekeeping, and security performance and cleanliness.

Assist in the oversight of contractors and vendors.

Inspect building sites and equipment for needed repair and maintenance work.

Perform routine maintenance on a variety of equipment (e.g., alignment racks, air compressors, waste oil furnaces, etc.).

Respond to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues to determine solutions.

Collect and sort recyclable materials, including paper, cardboard, steel, aluminum, etc.

Clean shop and drive lane floor.

Call vendors to remove hazardous waste and pump out waste oil tanks.

Snow removal in the winter months.

Follow all health and safety regulations.

Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Basic competency in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, heating/ventilating, and security.

Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.

Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.

Integrity and ability to work independently.

Strong judgment, positive attitude, and ability to work well with others.

Proven working experience in a maintenance setting is a plus.
