A high-growth technology organization is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to oversee the design and analysis of key mechanical subsystems. This role is ideal for engineers who can lead projects, guide teams, and dive deep into mechanical design and
thermal - fluid
modeling.
Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical subsystem development from concept through production.
Oversee CAD design, drawings, GD&T, and documentation quality.
Conduct design trade studies focused on performance, cost, and manufacturability.
Develop and validate
CFD
models for
thermal
and
fluid
performance.
Interpret modeling results and drive design improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system-level integration.
Provide guidance to engineers and support suppliers on DFM/DFA and fabrication needs.
Experience Required
8+ years of mechanical design experience with ownership of complex systems.
Solid background in
CFD
and
thermal / fluid
analysis.
Strong CAD skills and familiarity with ASME standards.
Ability to lead projects and mentor engineering teams.
Strong communication skills in fast-paced environments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
Experience with high-performance or safety-critical systems preferred.
Hands-on testing or prototype build experience is a plus.
Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems and structured release processes.
