Compensation: Base salary range $55,000 – $65,000 per year with additional bonuses and uncapped commissions. Typical first‑year total compensation ranges from $55,000 to $75,000, with top performers earning over $100,000.
About the Role As an Insurance Agent you will build and leverage a strong local network and in‑person relationships in the community. You will represent Comparion’s insurance solutions—including Auto, Home, Life, Pet, Renters, Umbrella and more—to members of the local community. The role requires in‑office presence in our Glastonbury office.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a local client base through community engagement.
Identify and qualify prospects, turning them into customers.
Present and explain insurance coverages to customers.
Manage ongoing client relationships and renewals.
Leverage sales support and collateral to close deals.
Required Skills
Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills.
Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with prospective and existing customers.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Ability to learn insurance coverage and underwriting guidelines.
Experience building and growing leads and customer base.
Preferred Experience
Previous employment in a sales role where you successfully turned prospects into customers.
A state insurance license—or willingness to earn one—with training and support in Property & Casualty and Life.
