VP Commercial Loan Officer – Westfield Bank
Location: Westfield, MA | Salary: $117,425.00-$176,138.00 (annual)
Position Summary The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of commercial loan and deposit relationships, ensuring alignment with the Bank's financial goals. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, evaluating loan requests, working with credit partners to complete credit analysis and preparing loan proposals.
Essential Functions
Develop, manage, and grow a portfolio of commercial loan and deposit relationships.
Identify and pursue new lending opportunities through direct outreach, networking, referrals, and community involvement.
Actively identify and refer cross-sell opportunities to other areas of the Bank.
Contribute to the achievement of Commercial Team goals as it relates to revenue & portfolio growth, asset quality, and compliance.
Structure and negotiate loan terms that meet client needs while protecting bank interests.
Collaborate with Credit Analysts, Loan Assistants and other team members to ensure excellent client service.
Monitor loan portfolio performance, manage risk, and maintain compliance with policies and regulations.
Complete BSA, AML, and other Regulatory and Continuing Education as assigned.
Assume additional responsibilities as requested.

Minimum 7 years of experience as a commercial lender and ability to manage a large commercial loan portfolio.

Knowledge of Small Business Administration guaranty programs.
Strong analytical, verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Strong negotiation and sales ability.
Responsible and independent worker who can interact well with other members of the Commercial Team.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
